THE PLAIN/SIMPLE-(PESHAT/PESHETTA) MEANING OF SCRIPTURE IS ALWAYS TRUE!
Any: Derash/midrash, remez, sod, commentary, analogy, study, creed, dogma, doctrine, polemic, ANYTHING !...that is against, contrary to, or diminishes, the plain and simple expressed meaning IN WHOLE OR IN PART Of ANY PORTION of Scripture is worthless (at best), or is deadly ! - THROW IT OUT ! - (Yet: Some of these things "might" hold some merit, but only if they agree totally with, and do not in any way contradict, the entire Word of Elohim/God YHVH).
YHVH does NOT lie! What He plainly says in His Word is True in and of Itself, and it is given to us simple enough for even a small child to understand and believe ! - It is the 'wisdom/understanding' of carnal man that messes it up...and often the more "verbose" and "scholarly" sounding something is...the WORSE it is !
Any sense, that invalidates the plain-sense of Scripture, is nonsense !
FOOTNOTE:
If you've read something in the Brit-Chadashah (New Testament / New Covenant) Scriptures (whether you are looking at the Greek, Hebrew/Aramaic, or even in the English) that you "think" that portion of Scripture is contrary to the rest of the Bible and is not Elohim/God's Word: Then it is YOU OR SOMETHING ELSE that is wrong; but never YHVH's Word-[neither in the Older nor in the New]. - As Scripture does NOT contradict Itself !
...The problem lies in: Trying to apply incorrect commentaries of man to the passage, bad translations from man of the Original Word that YAH gave to mankind, disregarding the passage in context &/or in light of the balance of Scripture, or disregarding the Biblical era culture & context, or applying incorrect usages of the Greek Hebrew/Aramaic or even the English (often through ignorance), lacking Discernment from Above while trying to make something fit into your own personal criteria or bias, approaching the Word when reading from doubt rather than from Faith, holding historical bias/inaccuracies that have become accepted as fact but are in fact false, and various other things that attempt to cloud ones sight; HOWEVER!...
YHVH-Elohim's/(The LORD God's) Word NEVER contradicts Itself nor is It in error, from Beresheet/Genesis through Revelation! If it appears to be so, the error stems from elsewhere than the Bible. - Don't be ignorant: Be a Berean !
2Ti 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto Elohim/God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the Word of Truth."
Ro 3:4 "Elohim/God forbid: yea, let Elohim/God be True, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged."
